What's in the sesame dessert?
It looks very dark, are they Black Sesame Seeds?

Hey Henry,
Thanks for visiting. I'll add you to my page too.
What do you think of Triumphal Palace's other foods? I think it's good, but definitely not the gastronomic wonder the LA Times seems to think it is.
hi wandering chopsticks, thanks for visiting my blog. i think triumphal palace is okay (8/10), but you kinda have to pick the right dishes. for example, my family ordered the lobster salad, which was aesthetically pleasing, but costed us $140. on the other hand, the eggplant hot pot was one of the best i've had.
I'd give it an 8/10 too. $140 for lobster? I'd rather spend half that and get it Chinese style at Newport Seafood.
I like Triumphal Palace for the basics like Peking duck, chowfun, veggies, but I wouldn't say it's soooo much better than what I could get elsewhere. They just have nicer decor bc it's new. Their 8 treasure duck though was awful. All mushy and the skin made it fatty and mushy.
